The Problem

Three Gaps Between the Firm and Its Next Client

Four cities, one thin footprint

Every city and case type is its own search, and the domain's history shows the firm appearing in almost none of them.

Queries other firms pay heavily for

Clicks cost $173.20 on an Ocala slip and fall term and $102.13 on wrongful death. Established firms fight for these.

AI answers with short lists

Ask ChatGPT, Gemini, or Google AI Mode which lawyer to call and the answer names a handful of firms. Firms left off that list get no click.

The Work

One Campaign, Two Kinds of Search Results

The local SEO work and the AI SEO work shared one rule: describe the firm the same way everywhere, then build a page for each search clients type.

Local search: maps and city pages

  • Google Business Profile. Categories, services, and service areas matched to the real practice, per Google's Business Profile guidelines.
  • Citations and reviews. Consistent name, address, and phone across directories, plus steady review requests.
  • Case type by city pages. Pages for searches like a St. Augustine Beach motorcycle crash or an Ocala slip and fall.
  • Local content. Pages on texting while driving, distracted driving, and careless driving tickets.

AI search: answers that name the firm

  • Entity clarity. One description of who the firm is, what it handles, and where, used on the site, profile, and citations.
  • Structured data. LegalService markup tying practice areas and service areas to the firm.
  • Answer-ready content. Pages that answer first, then explain, following Google's guidance on AI features in Search.
  • Platform tracking. Visibility and sentiment measured on three AI platforms against four competing firms.

Two languages, one entity. Spanish pages target the searches Spanish speakers type, such as "abogado de lesiones," rather than translating English line by line. They now hold #1 positions, and one carries the same AI result marker as the English wrongful death page. See our multilingual SEO approach.

AI search: ahead at every reading

From July 2 to September 10, the firm scores roughly 60 to 70 while four tracked competitors range from 0 to the mid-40s (chart reading).

Sentiment runs highest on Google AI Mode at 83.7, against 69.1 on Gemini and 61.8 on ChatGPT.

Search Console: measured, not estimated

Google's own data confirms the climb. Comparing the last six months with the six before, clicks rose 31% and impressions 84%, and average position moved 14.8 spots closer to the top.

CTR fell because impressions grew faster than clicks. The likely reason: most newly ranked keywords sit beyond page one, where listings are seen more often than clicked.

Analysis

Why the Lead Held, and What's Still Open

Our read: each #1 page covers one case type, one city, and one language. AI tools need that specificity before naming a firm.

What this data does not prove yet

  • No pre-campaign AI baseline exists, and every platform shows 0.0 points of change. This shows standing, not growth.
  • ChatGPT and Gemini sentiment slipped to 50 and 55 late in the window while Google AI Mode held at 75. That is next on the list.
  • Search Atlas estimates about 1.2K visits a month, while Search Console measured 2.39K clicks over six months. Read the $22.4K traffic value as an estimate built on the higher figure.

Key Takeaways

Three Lessons From This Campaign

Score AI visibility against named rivals

A 61.6 on ChatGPT means little alone. Next to competitors below the mid-40s, it shows a lead.

Spanish searches are separate rankings

"Abogado de lesiones" has its own results and map pack. A translated English page won't win it.

Visibility and sentiment move apart

Sentiment reads 83.7 on Google AI Mode and 61.8 on ChatGPT. Being named and being described well need separate tracking.
