Recently, we implemented our comprehensive stacking service for several clients, aiming to leverage a combination of SEO, social media marketing, and content optimization to achieve remarkable results. Objectives

The primary goal of our stacks service was to improve local search rankings for our clients’ targeted keywords in Google Maps and the 3 Pack. We aimed to achieve this through a comprehensive and multifaceted approach that included the following key objectives:

  • Create keyword relevance across multiple platforms
  • Silo these relevant pages, posts, and assets using DAS principles
  • Use hyper-local targeting to create map signals unique for each targeted location
  • Align our local targeting with real-time GeoGrid rankings for precise targeting
  • Create powerful and relevant signals that will improve local rankings

     

By setting these objectives, we aimed to provide our clients with a comprehensive signal creation strategy that will improve their local rankings at specific map nodes for their targeted keywords. We wanted a signal strategy that we could control and target based on keywords and location. We wanted a signal strategy significantly more powerful than citation building, and significantly more scalable than local outreach such as local event and sporting sponsorship link building.

Implemented Strategy

1. Keyword Selection

We started by selecting mid-tier service-related keywords relevant to each client’s business. These keywords were chosen for their potential to attract targeted local traffic. We then created variations of these target keywords to cover a broader search spectrum. This approach ensured that our clients’ websites could capture rankings and traffic from various search intents and keyword combinations, maximizing their Map visibility across multiple search queries.

2. Ranking Analysis

Using Local Viking GeoGrid rankings, we pulled initial data to understand the current standing of the clients’ keywords. GeoGrid technology allowed us to visualize search results geographically, providing a clear picture of how well our clients’ businesses were ranking in different locations. We selected specific nodes for ranking to build geo-targeted signals and to monitor progress accurately throughout the campaign. This granular tracking enabled us to measure the impact of our efforts precisely and adjust strategies in real time to optimize outcomes.

Now that we have identified our Target Keyword and it’s Related Clusters and Identified the Geolocations to target, we move into a content creation phase.

The following content creation isn’t just some blog posts or online articles somewhere, it is a highly keyword-centric push of rich media, social media, and video content. All highly optimized for our target term and related cluster.

3. Local YouTube and Syndicated Video Content

Local Optimized YouTube Video

We created locally optimized YouTube videos tailored to each client’s services and location. These videos were then cross-posted to Facebook and LinkedIn to maximize reach and engagement. These videos were optimized with local SEO practices, including relevant keywords, location tags, and engaging descriptions to create maximum search relevancy. This multimedia approach not only improved search engine rankings but also provided valuable content that resonated with the local audience. 

Local Optimized YouTube Short

From the initial long video, our editors produced and optimized local reels and short videos for local search. These YouTube shorts were shared across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, using similar optimization strategies to ensure high visibility and engagement across these platforms. The short-form content format capitalized on the growing trend of quick, digestible content, which is particularly effective for capturing attention on social media and driving immediate engagement.

Local YouTube Playlist

We compiled these videos into a local YouTube playlist to ensure consistent visibility and ease of access for potential customers. This playlist strategy helped silo the relevant media content. By organizing content into playlists, we created an additional relevant page on YouTube which we can then later embed and interlink in our stack.

YouTube RSS Feed

By finding the channel’s RSS feed we have another page that contains highly relevant content and which can be siloed in our Stack in the form of feed embeds. This method ensures that updates are automatically fetched and displayed, keeping our Stack content fresh and up-to-date. Moreover, integrating RSS feeds can help in organizing and categorizing content more efficiently, enhancing the overall user experience.

4. Social Media Content

Social Media Posts

We created posts on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, focusing on content relevant to the selected keywords and local audience. Each post was designed to engage the local community, incorporating local hashtags, mentions, and geotags to enhance local search performance. These social posts will also be used later in the stack in the creation of our highly-relevant interlinked silo.

Pinterest Board Strategy

A Pinterest board was set up for each target keyword and location, complemented by locally optimized Pinterest pins to drive traffic from this visual search engine. These boards and pins were later incorporated into our stacks to provide additional rich media. 

5. Additional Strategies

Strategic Linking

At each new stage of the stack, attention is given to making sure that the past tasks are completely linked to the new tasks. This DAS linking method is paramount to stack building and ensuring that each new document is powered by the combined power of every preceding document in the stack. 

URL Manipulation

We manipulate URLs to include various longitude and latitude coordinates, geotargeting them to reference specific knowledge graphs, brands, and locations. This advanced URL optimization enhances SEO performance, driving higher rankings and increased traffic. Robust security measures protect against threats, while intuitive URL structures improve user navigation, creating a seamless and engaging online experience.

Wakelet Profile

We established a Wakelet brand profile and curated keyword-specific collections to enhance online visibility. This platform allowed us to organize and present our content in a user-friendly manner, further reinforcing our clients’ online presence. Wakelet’s ability to curate content from various sources into cohesive collections helped in building a strong, content-rich profile that was highly relevant to our targeted keywords.

Geo-Targeted Maps

We created custom geo-targeted maps and integrated them with driving direction maps, YouTube local videos, embedded collections, and more. The manipulated URLs were also incorporated into the geo-targeted map. This geo-targeted map was the pinnacle of the DAS strategy with everything coming after being designed to boost various parts of the Stack through tiered links and geo-targeted map embed syndication.

Press Releases and Guest Posts

We issued press releases with embedded videos and maps and secured a guest post with an embedded map to enhance indexing, backlinks, and authority. These press releases and guest posts were distributed through reputable channels, ensuring maximum reach and credibility. By leveraging authoritative sites for guest posts and press releases, we ensured Google crawled our content and rewarded us for it.

Tiered Link Building

Tiered links were developed with multiple embeds to reinforce the keyword strategy and improve search engine rankings. This involved creating a network of interconnected links that boosted the authority and relevance of our client’s content. The tiered approach ensured that link-building efforts were layered and diversified, reducing the risk of penalties and enhancing the overall effectiveness of the SEO strategy

  • Music Classes: General keywords related to music classes, including “music classes” and “music lessons”. The strategy focused on showcasing the diverse offerings and experienced instructors available through our clients’ services.

The campaigns yielded impressive results across different service areas:

Car Locksmith Terms

We have achieved up to an 11% increase in the share of local voice search results, reflecting a higher percentage of our top-ranking entries within local search 3 Packs. This improvement highlights our enhanced visibility and dominance in local voice search, positioning us more prominently in search results when users inquire about relevant services.

Furthermore, the Average Traffic Growth Rate (ATGR) has experienced a remarkable rise, increasing by up to 6 points. This significant growth in ATGR indicates a substantial boost in our transaction rates. Additionally, the Average Growth Rate (AGR) has also increased by up to 4 points, bringing the overall AGR value to 9-14.

This uplift underscores a general enhancement in engagement and performance metrics across our local search efforts, further reinforcing the effectiveness of our strategy in driving overall growth and visibility.

Piano Lessons

We have observed a substantial increase in Search Organic Local Visibility (SOLV) for all variations of piano-related keywords. These keywords have seen an impressive rise, with their rankings improving by up to 31%. This boost in rankings highlights a significant enhancement in our visibility within local search results for piano-related terms.

In addition to the improvements in SOLV, both the Average Traffic Growth Rate (ATGR) and the Average Growth Rate (AGR) have also experienced notable increases. The rise in ATGR indicates a positive trend in the volume of traffic driven by these keywords, while the growth in AGR reflects an overall improvement in engagement metrics.

These elevated rankings not only demonstrate an enhancement in our search engine visibility but also suggest a more effective reach and impact in attracting users interested in piano-related services. The combined effect of these improvements contributes to a stronger online presence and greater success in local search performance.

Sports Massage:

The rankings for our primary keywords have seen a substantial increase, with Search Organic Local Visibility (SoLV) improving by up to 33%. This significant uplift in SoLV indicates a stronger presence in local search results, enhancing our visibility and reach within our target area.

Additionally, we have observed a notable rise in Average Traffic Growth Rate (ATGR), which has increased by up to 4 points. This improvement signifies that the enhanced keyword rankings are translating into higher traffic volumes and more robust engagement from local users.

Similarly, the Average Growth Rate (AGR) has also experienced an increase of up to 3 points. This growth in AGR reflects the positive impact of our improved keyword performance on overall search traffic and engagement metrics.

Our best-performing keyword achieved a SoLV of 100%, demonstrating peak visibility and optimal performance in local search results. Furthermore, our top keyword reached an ATGR score of 1, underscoring its effectiveness in driving targeted traffic and contributing to our overall SEO success.

We have observed notable improvements in rankings for house cleaning and maid services. Our Search Organic Local Visibility (SOLV) has increased by up to 24%, indicating a significant enhancement in our presence within local search results for these services. This rise reflects a stronger position in the search rankings, making our services more prominent to potential customers.

Additionally, the Average Traffic Growth Rate (ATGR) has shown a substantial increase of up to 4 points, and the Average Growth Rate (AGR) has improved by up to 2 points.
